NYCO TIMES
Monday 27/11/2006
On 25th of November last saturday, many members of NYCO attended the HCCO Interaction at HCI (College Section) for a day of fun games and free food. The activities started all the way from 8am in the morning till its conclusion at 6pm in the evening, an hour later than the designated time. This was due to the extended game period for the highlight, the mass games for all, with water bombs. Like any other similar camps, the participants truely revealed their scheming natures during mass games, and much sabotage was spotted, not to mention the mass volumes of water and plastic bags wasted. NYCO members helped out with the clearing out, to a surprising call by the group leaders. "Nanyang girls, stop clearing up!" However, NYCO members, like dutifully respected members of society, continued with their environmental friendly rampage and successfully cleared the areas of any annoying plastic bag. NYCO president Lim Yiling also received a token of appreciation on behalf of the orchestra from the organizers. Miss Lim was beaming brightly, and perhaps the token was not the sole reason for her extended joy. The day was meaningful to have sparked many new friendships with participants from other schools and provided relishing memory notes for many participants, if not especially for some. Kudos!

Something to learn about... THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW YOUR CELLPHONE COULD DO...

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it: -

*EMERGENCY*

1. The Emergency Number worldwide for *Mobile* is *112 *.
If you find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. **Try it out.**

2. *Subject: Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote keys?*
This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk). Editor's Note: *It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a cell phone!"*

3. Subject: Hidden Battery power
Imagine your cell battery is very low , you are expecting an important call and you don't have a charger. Nokia instrument comes with a reserve battery. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery. This reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

4. How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 # A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless. You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.

HELLO NYCO! (:

i think this place is really dead! so im here to add a post! xD
after we get this blog alive and kicking, let's invite mrs ee here okay! (:

tada so we must get more people coming here.

there are lots of advantages okay!
with getting more people to come here that is!

firstly, we shall be more bonded!
nyco is err.. not very bonded yea. thus we dont have mo4 qi4 thus our playing is very messy!
especially that bar 68 in molihua you know.. that part where tanbo always dies at? :P
(okay i think this reason is not very realistic but oh wells!)

secondly, old graduated seniors can keep in touch!
and perhaps they want us to post up the practice dates? (:

thirdly, we shall show everyone how bonded nyco is and everyone shall be scared of us and fumble for syf!

YAY(:

okay don't mind my crap,
we got our set piece!

finally, not like, next year too(:

must jiayou for syf, don't lose the GWH that our seniors worked so hard for!

just work hard, so even if you fail, they won't blame us(:
